AFEdemy

The coordinator of the Hands-on SHAFE project is AFEdemy. AFEdemy, Academy on age-friendly environments in Europe BV, is a limited private company based in the Netherlands (Gouda). The mission of AFEdemy is to support and increase the capacity of regional, local and community stakeholders to design, implement and monitor age-friendly environments, policies, practices, places and programmes.

TU Dublin

Deeply committed to collaborating with national and international academic partners and many networks in industry and civic society to create new learning experiences and develop impactful research. 

The work in this project involves the tPOT (towards People Oriented Technology) research group who are based in the Environmental Sustainability and Health Institute at TU Dublin.

Cáritas Diocesana de Coimbra

Cáritas Diocesana de Coimbra is a social non-profit organization (NGO) that supports around 25000 people/year with social care, health and education in 5 districts of the Centro Region of Portugal, with nearly 90 centres (with 129 different services), 1000 workers and 150 volunteers.

Cáritas Coimbra is actively involved in many regional, national and international projects and a member of the Coordination Group and consortium of Ageing@Coimbra, an EIP-AHA reference site with 4 stars; a founding member and current Vice-President of the European Covenant on Demographic Change; Main Coordinator of group D4 of the EIP-AHA – Age-friendly Buildings, Cities and Environments; Coordinator, with AFEdemy, of the Stakeholders Network SHAFE - Smart Healthy Age-friendly Environments, approved by the EC in 2018 and currently hosted in the HPP and Coordinator of the Portuguese Network on Smart, Inclusive and Age-Friendly Environments.

Politechnika Warsaw

Warsaw University of Technology builds upon the traditions of Polish technical universities that used to function in Warsaw – the Polytechnic Institute was founded in 1826. Warsaw University of Technology started on its own in 1915 thanks to the efforts of the Association for Scientific Courses and the Citizens’ Committee of the City of Warsaw. 

It is not only the oldest, but also the best technical university in Poland; in the ranking of Polish universities, it has taken the first place in its category for nine years. Currently, it has the status of a research university, one of only 9 universities in Poland. There are 19 faculties, 48 degree courses and more than 36.000 students at Warsaw University of Technology. Furthermore, over 180 student research groups, organisations and associations are active, and the educational offer includes more than 30 fields of study.

Airelle

Airelle is a non-profit organization which was established 30 years ago in the rural Corrèze department in France. The organization aims to participate in local and community development. Its underlying founding principle is to encourage and support individual and collective initiatives leading to the development of entrepreneurial abilities. To achieve this general objective, Airelle staff have developed original tools, counselling and training methods to help project holders acquire the knowledge and skills allowing them to build their entrepreneurial potential.

ISIS Institut für Soziale Infrastruktur gGmbH

ISIS is a private institute for applied social research, social planning and policy advice. Established in 1991, it specialises in practice-oriented social science analyses, policy consulting and knowledge transfer.
